Not every trip needs a guide. Every trip needs a plan.
Hiring a guide isn't the only way to benefit from a professional guide's experience. Cloudripper consultation services are for people heading into the mountains on their own — or in the middle of planning a trip and wanting an expert second opinion before they commit.
This is a service which is unique from guiding, but may be paired with a guided activity. I am offering decades of experience in the mountains to help you in your planning to create personalized itineraries and targeted coaching so that you are as prepared as possible for your objective.
A consultation can include:
Trip planning assistance — Dial in objectives, timing, and logistics. Whether it's your first big traverse or your fiftieth, an experienced eye on your plan catches the things you can't see from the inside.
In-depth itinerary design — Day-by-day route plans built from real familiarity with the terrain: approaches, camps, bailout options, and the contingency plans that separate a great trip from a sufferfest.
Permit navigation — Wilderness permits, quotas, regulations, reservation windows. The permit process is one of the easiest parts of a trip to get wrong and one of the most frustrating to fix — get it right the first time.
Route beta and media — Detailed route information, photos, and maps for climbing or ski routes you want to experience without a guide: conditions, cruxes, timing, approach details, GPX files and everything else that matters on the day.
Interested? Head to the Contact page and tell me what you're planning — I'll tell you straight whether a consultation is the right fit, and what I can do for you.
